In-person Mandarin Tutoring
One-on-one classes with a live tutor — right here in the Beaverton / Hillsboro area.
Our in-person sessions follow the same structured curriculum as our online lessons, but take place face-to-face. Students have the chance to speak, listen, read, and write Mandarin with real-time coaching, correction, and encouragement.
Rate: $45 / hour (in our office) · $55 / hour (at your preferred location)

How In-person Tutoring Works
- Schedule a weekly time. We work with you to choose a day and time that fits your routine. Lessons are typically held once per week, with extra sessions available before exams or travel.
- Meet at our office or your location. Many students meet at our Beaverton location. For an additional fee, tutors can travel to a home, library, or workplace in the local area.
- Follow a personalized learning plan. We design a clear path based on your level and goals—school support, heritage learning, travel, professional use, or test prep.
- Practice and review each week. Short assignments, vocabulary review, and speaking practice keep your Mandarin active between lessons.
In-person tutoring is a great fit for students who learn best face-to-face, appreciate hands-on materials, or simply prefer the structure of meeting their tutor in the same place each week.

Office rate: $45 per hour (1-on-1 instruction at our Beaverton location)
At your location: $55 per hour within our local service area (subject to tutor availability and travel distance).
